New Students, Staff, and Faculty
If you are new to the university community, it is important that you complete the “First Steps” section below before attending an orientation session or using U-M Zoom for the first time. Even if you are familiar with Zoom, not following these steps will cause you delays in attending your first meetings.
First Steps
- Download and Install the Zoom App on Your Device
- Create and Log in to Your U-M Zoom Account
- Migrating Your Zoom Account to U-M Zoom (Follow these steps if you already have a Zoom account tied to your UMICH email address.)
- Getting Started with the Zoom for GSuite Add-on (Recommended, but not required.)
- Test Your Audio
- Test Your Video
